TORONTO, Ont. — Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials say more than 2,000 drivers have not shown up for their FAST Driver Interviews.

As a part of the FAST Driver application process those drivers selected to appear for a face-to-face interview are sent an official letter from the FAST program indicating they should report to a FAST enrollment centre within 90 days of receiving the letter.

As a result of the large number of drivers who have received letters, but not shown up for interviews, CBP will be contacting individual drivers via telephone to remind them. In the meantime, CBP asks that carriers encourage their drivers to schedule an interview if they have received an official letter from the FAST Driver Program. Carriers wishing to call and schedule blocks of time for their company drivers will receive priority enrollment. Delay in taking advantage of this program, will cost everyone, CBP warns.

The following information indicates the location and hours of operation of the five FAST Driver Enrollment Centres currently in operation. Drivers are encouraged to call ahead to schedule an appointment (walk-ins will be accepted, however preference will be given to those carriers or drivers who schedule appointments). CBP indicated the entire process should only take 20-30 minutes.
