TORONTO, Ont. — A news release from the union for Canadian customs officers indicates slowdowns are expected at border points in Ontario and Quebec this weekend.

CEUDA, the customs officers’ union that is in salary negotiations with the CBSA, has indicated that they will place greater emphasis on inspection of commercial traffic now, but will concentrate their inspection efforts on travelers over the weekend.

Delays at border crossing points in Ontario and Quebec are to be expected in the foreseeable future. For border waiting time updates go to: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/general/times/menu-e.html
