OTTAWA, Ont. –The Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program is now available at Coutts, Alta. North Portal, Sask. and Emerson, Man.

FAST is already in place at six of the largest land border crossings, including four in southern Ontario, one in Quebec, and one in British Columbia.

FAST is an essential part of the Customs Self-Assessment program, as well as the increased security measures under Partners in Protection (PIP) program. It includes aligning the requirements of the PIP program with the U.S.’s Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).
