WOODSTOCK, Ont. — Hino Motors Canada is hosting an event for members of the Association of Parts Manufacturers Association of America (APMA) to celebrate the launch of its 2011 model year trucks. The event will be held at Hino’s Woodstock assembly facility Nov. 12.

Officials sat the 2011 Hino models meet EPA2010 emission requirements, and by using selective catalytic reduction technology, the trucks are said to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by more than 80% compared to the manufacturer’s previous models. The new line-up of vehicles have also shown improved fuel economy, according to Hino officials.

Hino’s Woodstock assembly operations commenced in April 2006. To date, more than 5,700 trucks have been assembled in Woodstock for sale in the Canadian market.
