TORONTO, Ont. — Drivers looking to take part in the Lunch Box Letdown campaign can now do so through trucknews.com.

The campaign, launched by the Canadian Trucking Alliance, the Owner-Operator’s Business Association of Canada and Teamsters Canada, calls upon the federal finance minister, Jim Flaherty, to restore the 80% meal deduction limit for truck drivers, which was reduced to 50% in 1994. The campaign involves getting truck drivers to send a postcard to the finance minister in the run-up to the 2007 federal budget which is expected to be announced soon.

The postcard is available by clicking on Join the Lunch Box Letdown campaign! in the Special Supplements section at trucknews.com. Directions for filling out and sending the postcard can be found in the special section.
