OTTAWA, Ont. — Canadian Customs has advised revised export rules should be implemented in November.

The CBSA has advised in a letter to forwarders that the revised Reporting of Exported Goods Regulations will be published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on July 31, for a 30-day pre-publication period, and that publication in Part 2 of the Canada Gazette will follow in October for another 30-day period.

“We now expect that these regulations will come into effect in November,” reads the advisory to freight forwarders. “We will work out phased implementation dates in consultation with the Exporting Community”
