MAPLE, Ont. — Road safety will be the focus of an event tomorrow morning at the Landshark Esso Service Station on Hwy. 400.

RoadSafe is hosting Driving Back to Work, a program that aims to educate motorists about the importance of road safety. The event features speeches and demonstrations from safety experts and dignitaries.

Organizers say information will be available about: drowsy driving; distracted driving; aggressive driving and speeding; how to share the road with trucks; and driving as an occupational health and safety issue.

A speed inhibitor and rollover simulator will also be on-site. Speakers include Ontario Transport Minister, Donna Cansfield, Dr. Kash Ram of Transport Canada and OPP Sgt. Cam Woolley. The event kicks off Wednesday at 6 a.m. and will run until noon.
