Seventh annual Trade Corridors conference to focus on border trade

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE — Ontario’s Minister of Transportation, Harinder Takhar, New York Department of Transportation Commissioner, Joseph Boardman and Transport Canada’s Minister, Tony Valeri will lead discussions on border trade during the two-day forum on April 26 and 27, at the White Oaks Conference Resort.

Government officials and leaders from the transportation, urban planning, international relations and economic development sectors will be in attendance at the conference.

Learn about the relationship between the trade corridors and North America’s new economic regions. Come learn why major business interests have come together alongside all levels of government to seek solutions to a better border. Each year, the conference garners media attention across North America because of its implications.

High-level Canadian and American government officials will address what is being done to increase the prosperity of their respective countries and what issues are impacting trade in the Americas. Interactive sessions will have trade and transportation practitioners’ debate with public policy advisors on the most pressing trade issues.

Guest speakers will include Mayor Hazel McCallion, City of Mississauga; Bob Keyes, Canadian Chamber of Commerce; Karen Phillips, Vice-President CN and Michael Gallis, Michael Gallis & Associates.
