CLEVELAND, Ohio — Alcoa Wheel Products achieved a European record when the Szkesfehrvr, Hungary plant produced its four millionth forging in October.

Company officials said the achievement is reflective of Alcoa’s position as the largest forged aluminum wheel supplier in Europe and the growing demand for its products in the region and worldwide.

The Hungarian plant first opened its doors in 1997 and it serves OEMs, dealers and aftermarket customers in Europe, Australia, Japan, Brazil, South Africa among others.

Customers include European truck manufacturers Scania, Volvo, Renault, DaimlerChrysler, MAN, DAF, Iveco, and European trailer manufacturers such as Feldbinder, Spitzer, Benalu, Schmitz and Krone.
