EDMONTON, Alta. — The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) will be holding its annual conference in Edmonton Sept. 27-28.

In the past, the AMTA’s management conference has been held in luxury resorts such as the Banff Springs Hotel and Chateau Lake Louise, but this year’s event in Edmonton is aimed at increasing participation among fleets.

A golf tournament will be held Sept. 27, followed by a barbecue at the Mayfield Inn with casino entertainment. A variety of business seminars will be held the following day with the presidents’ banquet taking place that evening. The comedy of The Great Electrical Revolution will be the evening’s entertainment.

Details about the business sessions are still being sorted out. Information will be posted at www.amta.ca as it becomes available.
