TROY, Mich. — Bergstrom has announced its acquisition of Michigan-based engineering firm Innovative Product Development Corporation (IPDC).

The company says IPDC provides expertise in system architecture and kinematics/motion controls design and analysis. The two companies have been working together for more than 18 years.

”Goeran (Andersen, IPDC principal partner) and his team have more than 50 years of experience in state-of-the-art HVAC system design,” said John Bracey, vice-president of global engineering for Bergstrom. “This acquisition expands our design engineering capabilities and offers Bergstrom a strategic location for recruitment of key experienced engineering resources available in the Detroit area in the future.”

Bergstrom designs and supplies climate control systems to the commercial vehicle industry.
