Bulldog on guard
Bulldog Technologies of Richmond, B.C., will incorporate a satellite communications terminal from EMS Technologies into its Road BOSS vehicle and cargo security system. The Road BOSS unit mounts onto the locking rod of the trailer doors. If the doors are tampered with, it triggers an alarm, sends a message to the driver’s pager, and simultaneously, through EMS’s PDT-100 satellite terminal, alerts dispatch. Should the vehicle be stolen, dispatch could follow the location and heading of the vehicle via the PDT-100 on the truck. The PDT-100 provides two-way messaging and operates over the MSV MSAT satellite network.
