Canadian and U.S. transportation programs to cooperate on climate change

DETROIT, Mich — Representatives from Natural Resources Canada and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency are meeting in Detroit today to sign an agreement to improve energy efficiency in freight transportation.

The agreement will "promote coordination and cooperation" between the two organizations’ programs, FleetSmart and SmartWay Transport Partnership. The programs aim to improve the environment and effectively respond to climate change.
