Clock Ticking Down for Highway Star Nominations

TORONTO, ON – Time is running out to nominate a driver for one of the biggest honors of the year and it’s a chance to feel good about yourself.

Feb. 15 is the last day you can enter someone in the 2016 Highway Star of the Year competition.

The winner gets a free trip to the Truck World Show in Toronto in April, a whole bunch of great prizes and then goes home with $10,000 in their wallet.  And he or she will also be profiled in Today’s Trucking magazine. Perhaps they will even share a little bit of the credit and their dough with you if they win.

All the driver has to be is experienced, safe, conscientious, invaluable to the community and a good ambassador for the driving profession. Company drivers and owner-operators alike can enter.

Even if you entered a candidate in the past but he or she didn’t win, you can re-submit the name again this year. You don’t have to re-enter unless you want to add more achievements to the nomination form.

The folks at Newcom Business Media, the company that owns this website, Truck World and ExpoCam organize the competition. Prizes are courtesy of Newcom in partnership with Freightliner, Eberspaecher, Cummins, Chevron and the Owner-Operator’s Business Association of Canada (OBAC).
