MONTREAL, Que. — TransForce Income Fund has completed the acquisition of Le Groupe Fortier of Pintendre, Qubec.

TransForce announced on October 19 that it had signed a letter of intent to acquire Le Groupe Fortier, which includes Transport Fortier Inc. and Boostway International Corp. The companies in the group specialize in the consolidation of less-than-truckload shipments and truckload transportation between Canada and the United States.

With annual revenues of approximately $50 million, the group has a fleet of 150 trucks and more than 325 trailers. It also has more than 300 employees located in several locations, primarily in Quebec, and is led by president Real Fortier who will continue to manage the group’s operations.

“The management and operations of Le Groupe Fortier are excellent additions to TransForce and we believe they will add value for unitholders by bringing new revenue and by increasing our capacity for international transport,” said Alain Bdard, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of TransForce Income Fund.
