CTA welcomes new federal cabinet

OTTAWA — The Canadian Trucking Alliance is congratulating and welcoming new cabinet members of Stephen Harper’s Conservative government and looks forward to working with its ministers in the upcoming Parliament.

CTA CEO David Bradley also commended Harper’s move to fold the ministries of Transport and Infrastructure into a single portfolio.

“We are encouraged by the government’s election platform which promises a national highway and border infrastructure plan. We are eager to learn more and to work with the new government and ministers,” Bradley stated in a press release.

In the past, CTA has also worked closely with Finance, Environment, Natural Resources, Human Resources and Social Development, Labour, Citizenship and Immigration, Industry, Public Safety and International Trade, and hopes to meet soon with ministers of these important departments.

“The Canadian Trucking Alliance stands ready to assist the new government,” said Bradley.
