Eaton hires new corporate VP; names new Canadian GM for electrical biz

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Truck component and systems manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that David S. Barrie has been named vice-president of corporate development. In this capacity Barrie will be responsible for Eaton’s acquisition, divestiture and joint venture activities.

Barrie joined Eaton in 1997 as associate director, corporate development. In 2000, he was named corporate vice president of Asia/Pacific, and in 2002, vice president, Hydraulics, Asia/Pacific. Barrie most recently served as vice president, legal and business development, Fluid Power.

Meanwhile, Steve Boccadoro has been appointed general manager of Eaton Corp.’s electrical business in Canada. A native of Hamilton, Ont., Boccadoro joined the company in 1987 and has completed several successful assignments in the financial area, leading to three years as controller, Cutler-Hammer Canada.
