The KBi Dieselmatic starting-fluid system is now available in Canada. From Kold-Ban International, the KBi Dieselmatic comes in three models. The basic system is fully automatic, wired to the starting circuit and controlled by an engine-temperature switch to inject a metered amount of starting fluid into the engine’s intake manifold under cold conditions. The “Kompac” version offers the same functionality in a smaller package, while the “EC” model is microprocessor controlled for extra precision. A low-cost system is also available, the KBi Diesel Start, which is driver-controlled. A new option for the Dieselmatic is an indicator that warns when the cylinder is nearly empty.
