ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — First Advantage Corporation, a global risk mitigation and business solutions provider, has announced the acquisition of the assets of Road Manager Financial Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Volvo Commercial Finance LLC The Americas, that provides fleet management services to the trucking industry.

Operating as an AB Volvo company since 2000, Road Manager assists hundreds of trucking companies and leasing company partners across the United States with state and federal mileage and fuel tax reporting compliance requirements. Road Manager also offers truck registration and permitting, driver log processing and audit services.

Based in Arlington, Texas, Road Manager will expand First Advantage’s Indianapolis-based fleet management operations as its services are rebranded and marketed as part of First Advantage’s Transportation Services solution. Company officials say the combination creates opportunities to offer First Advantage’s portfolio of trucking-related services, including motor vehicle records, business credit reporting, employment screening, substance abuse program management and driver qualification file management to Road Manager clients. Road Manager will continue operating from its Texas offices.

“Road Manager is a solid fit for the First Advantage growth strategy as we seek to increase scale in our existing fleet management operations and expand our client base to reap cross sell potential in this vertical market,” said John Long, CEO of First Advantage Corporation. “We are most pleased to welcome Road Manager’s experienced professionals to our company.”

“The transaction with First Advantage allows Volvo Commercial Finance to focus on our core business while continuing to benefit from an ongoing relationship with Road Manager,” said Walter Mascherin, vice president and COO for Volvo Commercial Finance LLC The Americas. “Going forward, we will rely on the expertise of First Advantage’s full team of fleet management experts to serve our domestic leasing groups and build upon the fleet management relationships we have developed.”
