NEW LISKEARD, ON – Drivers, do you have a landmark truck stop you enjoy stopping at? Snap a picture. WABCO Holdings, a supplier of truck technology to improve safety and efficiency, has launched its “This is #MyTruckStop” media campaign.
Photo contest details:
- Drivers worldwide are invited to share photos of their favorite truck stops on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #MyTruckStop;
- Chance to win one of five iPad minis;
- Deadline is 12th September 2014;
- Best 300 photos will then be selected to help create a giant photo mosaic, displayed at WABCO’s exhibition booth at the annual IAA Commercial Vehicles trade show in Hanover, Germany.
“Truck stops are iconic places in our industry as they offer rest, refueling and a warm welcome for drivers everywhere,” said Nick Rens, president, Trailer, Aftermarket and Off-Highway Division at WABCO.
And speaking of a warm welcome, on our way up to Rodeo Du Camion, Today’s Trucking staff stopped at the Gilli’s just outside New Liskeard on Highway 11. Minutes after posting the photos on Facebook, we got the first recommendation for Gilli’s turkey sandwich!
“That’s why we’re asking truckers, haulers, and road users for their #MyTruckStop pictures. From being located in the most impressive landscapes, to the hustle of busy highway mega-truck parks, to simple mobile cafes that regularly have lines of drivers waiting to fill up on a delicious breakfast, every truck stop has a story to tell,” Rens said.
