Handy Fill Holes

Aluminum wheel hub manufacturer ConMet has made lubricant fill holes a standard feature on its steer, drive, and trailer hubs. Located in the barrel of the hub, the fill hole allows users to add semi-fluid grease directly into the hub cavity without disturbing the outer bearing and spindle nut. The new ConMet fill holes minimize the risk of cocked seals and come equipped with a compression O-ring fitting, which eliminates the risk of leakage once that fill hole plug has been properly installed.
