MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Paul and Steve Harper, owners of Harper Group Inc., the parent company of Harper Detroit Diesel Limited and other companies, have announced the acquisition of the Sterling Truck franchise for Mississauga and the West end of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

It is the largest Sterling Truck franchise in Canada and will operate under the new name of Harper Ontario Truck Centres Inc. (HOTC). The new business and ownership will continue to operate in the facilities formally operated by Ontario Sterling at 800 Gana Court, Mississauga.

In addition, HOTC will also open and operate a new dual branded Sterling and Western Star truck franchise in Oshawa, providing sales, service and parts support for both brands in the East end of the GTA. This second dealership location will operate from Harper Detroit Diesel’s existing Oshawa facility at 720 Wilson Road which will be remodeled to accommodate the new business.

Company officials say the new business undertaking is significant and important to Harper’s evolution in the Ontario marketplace and they look forward to continuing to deliver both integrity and quality to their customers.
