Harper Ontario Sterling dealer offers Western Star trucks

TORONTO — Former Canadian Sterling and Western Star General Manager John Nelligan Jr. says the Sterling dealership he bought into last year is expanding to include Western Star’s line of trucks.

Already the largest Sterling dealer in Canada, Mississauga-based Harper Ontario Truck Centres is now able to offer Freightliner LLC’s Western Star Trucks.

“This will provide us with the perfect combination to meet our customer’s commercial truck needs now and in the future,” says Dealer Principal John Nelligan. “This announcement now brings this dealership in-line with our Oshawa location in terms of the products we are able to offer.”

The Oshawa facility is already an existing dual Sterling/Western Star dealership.

Both Harper Ontario Truck Centre locations now offer a variety of options to meet their customers class 4 through 8 needs. “We can offer our customers day cab and sleeper configurations or something custom designed to meet their individual business’s needs. Whatever you are moving, hauling or carrying, Harper Ontario Truck Centres is committed to keeping you on the road in the right truck,” said Nelligan.

Harper Group Inc. is co-owned and operated by Paul and Steve Harper. It is also the parent company of Harper Detroit Diesel Limited.

Harper is an authorized Detroit Diesel, Mercedes-Benz, Caterpillar and Cummins warranty service and parts dealer.

Nelligan resigned as regional vice-president and GM of Sterling and Western Star’s Canadian operations last year to join Harper. He was replaced by Brent Hart earlier this year.
