TORONTO, Ont. — Paul Harper is the new president of Diesel Capital Ltd., which is the parent company of several firms including Harper Detroit Diesel Ltd.

In this new role, Paul will be responsible for assisting in the development of long-term strategies for a group of companies held in the corporate paddock.

“With the prospect of further significant growth in our core business as well as unrelated businesses, it has become increasingly important that our strategic long-range planning activities receive the attention they deserve,” says Ed Butcher, chairman of the Diesel Capital board.

“The demands of this new role are such that it was important for Paul to shed his time consuming operational responsibilities at Harper Detroit Diesel Limited in favor of strategic ones.”

John Cosgrove has filled Harper’s vacated position at Harper Detroit Diesel. He will now control of the day-to-day operations of the seven Harper Detroit Diesel-Allison locations throughout Ontario.

John began his career at Harper Detroit Diesel-Allison, in 1977, as a technician and worked his way up to service manager before moving to a major North American truck manufacturer in 1987 to become the director of aftermarket operations. He has since returned to the company.
