Harper Truck Centres opens third Ontario facility

TORONTO — The grand opening of a new Harper Ontario Truck Centre in Milton, Ont. will take place next week, on August 1, announced John Nelligan, dealer principal and Paul and Steve Harper, co-owners of the Harper Group Inc.

The new facility, at 8270 Lawson Rd., will include full service parts and service centers, complete with a fast lube and an automated truck wash. The location is ideally suited to meet the demands of the industry in the western part of the GTA.

As an authorized Detroit Diesel, Mercedes-Benz, Caterpillar, Cummins, and Allison Transmission warranty, service and parts facility, Harper Ontario Truck Centres has the ability to service just about every truck on the road today, the company says.

“This expansion is a natural progression for our organization. It is a unique facility located in a heavily concentrated area of carriers and warehousing and it is a great opportunity to showcase what we do best,” said Nelligan. “Whatever you’re moving or hauling, Harper Ontario Truck Centres is committed to keeping you on the road.”

The Milton facility, along with existing dealerships in Mississauga and Oshawa gives Harper full coverage of the GTA along the 401 corridor, said Nelligan. The Harper Group now has a total of 14 locations, more than 160 service bays and 270 technicians across the province.

In addition, Harper recently launched its new web site — www.harperotc.com (link below) — which gives customers access to inventory at any time and from anywhere.

“We see the web site playing a key role in the growth of our business and the recent changes to our site will allow us to communicate more effectively with our customers as well as offer them real-time information about our products and services,” said Nelligan.
