Intraax Brakes

The new Cam Tube system will be standard equipment on Hendrickson’s Intraax and Vantraax trailer suspension systems this spring. The company says it’s the industry’s first standard cam enclosure for trailer brakes, and comes at no extra charge. The benefit is a substantial increase in durability, according to Hendrickson, given that S-cam bushings are ordinarily a weak link. The self-contained, extended-service cam tube stretches the life of brake camshafts and bushings to match long-life HXS brake linings and hub assemblies. Similar to proven tube concepts used on tractors, the Hendrickson solution fits 16.5-by-7.0 and 8.625-inch brakes.
