ITS acquires CSI Logistics

BELLEVILLE, Ont. — It didn’t take any high-tech forensic analysis to figure out why CSI (Logistics, that is) is a good purchase for International Truckload Services.

The Belleville-based carrier announced in a press release says the deal is a strategic acquisition for ITS, as CSI Logistics serves key domestic cities in central and eastern Canada.

CSI – which is based in Caledon but whose main terminal is in Cornwall, Ont. — provides truckload and LTL service between Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes as well as warehousing and distribution services.

ITS is acquiring 70 power units and a combination of over 500 dry vans, heaters and temperature controlled tandem and tridem trailers.

"CSI will also provide us with warehouse capabilities in Cornwall which is fast becoming a key transportation hub to Eastern Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. We look forward to a great future for our employees and customers going into this new decade," said owner Rob Haggarty.

ITS is one of the 50 largest truck fleets in Canada and undoubtedly this acquisition should help it move up in the rankings.
