Marine Atlantic requires manifests

PORT AUX BASQUES, Nfld. — As of this Friday May 11, Marine Atlantic will be enforcing a rule announced in February that truckers using the ferry must produce a copy of the load manifest before boarding the vessel.

The 90-day “soft enforcement” or grace period ends. Drivers that do not show a manifest will not be permitted on any ferry.
