New manager of manufacturing for Freightliner LLC
PORTLAND, Ore. — Freightliner LLC has named Sung Lee its new general manager of manufacturing.
In his position, Lee is charged with top management of manufacturing functions including production, quality, cost control, capacity planning, investment and environmental compliance.
His areas of responsibility include all Freightliner LLC truck manufacturing plants and the company’s parts manufacturing business. He reports to Roger Nielsen, chief operating officer for Freightliner LLC.
Lee comes to Freightliner from DaimlerChrysler’s East London, South Africa, plant, where he had served as head of manufacturing since 1999.
