FREDERICTON, N.B. — The Department of Transportation is advising the public of temporary traffic lights on the Princess Margaret Bridge in Fredericton.

The lights will be placed at the north side (Barkers Point) on-ramp from Route 8, and the south side on-ramp from Forest Hill Road. The lights will help with the efficient movement of traffic on the Princess Margaret Bridge. Traffic increases are expected during the construction on Westmorland Street Bridge.

The traffic lights and accompanying signs to alert motorists of the traffic pattern change will take effect today and will remain until construction on the Westmorland Street Bridge is completed.

Also, no left turn will be permitted from the southbound Forest Hill Road off-ramp onto the Forest Hill Road to help reduce traffic jams.
