BURNABY, B.C. — WebTech Wireless has increased the capabilities of its wireless fleet management services to include automated driver logs.

The new features allow users to electronically track Hours-of-Service information to ensure they’re in compliance with both the U.S. and Canadian standards. Meanwhile, driver performance functionality allows customers to track vehicle and driver performance data including speeding, hard braking and excessive idling.

"In an increasingly competitive environment, trucking companies are looking for new and innovative ways of streamlining their practices to improve their quality of service, productivity and profitability" says Anwar Sukkarie, president and CEO of WebTech Wireless. "Our new Quadrant 7.0 release, while increasing our competitive advantage in the marketplace, illustrates WebTech ‘s continued dedication to develop and deliver powerful tools to the growing transportation market to help them excel in service and bottom line results."

"Electronic Driver Logs and Driver Performance functionality, both critical components in any trucking and transportation organization, strengthen our commitment to the transportation market while delivering solutions that are key for creating business efficiencies" added Cameron Fraser, chief technology officer, WebTech Wireless. "Both driver logs and driver performance address the real and immediate needs of Department of Transportation Regulations as well as creating cost savings through proactive asset management, while delivering increased driver safety."

Other key enhancements include a trip recorder that documents every second of every trip and route geofence, which enables the user to set up a geofence for an entire route ensuring a vehicle doesn’t stray from its intended route.
