How do you avoid what you can’t see? Meritor WABCO Vehicle Control Systems says its Reverse Detection Module (RDM) alerts a driver when objects enter the path of his backing vehicle.
The module detects vehicle direction using a sensor mounted at the wheel end and can activate an audible alarm and back-up lights. It can also be used for managing a lift axle or lock-out steer axle solenoid; this allows the system to be tailored to meet specific fleet needs.
The RDM is available immediately through all North American trailer OEMs for new installations and aftermarket distributors for retrofitting. Go to www.meritorwabco.com for details.
