Penske Truck Leasing Gets 10,000th Hino Truck

NOVI, MI — Hino Trucks celebrates the delivery of its 10,000th truck to Penske Truck Leasing.

“We congratulate the entire team at Hino and Toyota on this significant milestone,” said Roger Penske, chairman of Penske Truck Leasing (PTL). “Hino continues to be a trusted supplier of high-quality trucks within our truck leasing and truck rental fleets. We are pleased with the performance of these vehicles and the outstanding support Hino provides.”

The entire assembly team and management from Hino and Penske celebrated the event at Hino’s plant in Williamstown, WV.

Hino Trucks, a Toyota Group Company, assembles, sells, and services Class 5 to 7 commercial trucks in the United States and has a network of over 200 dealers nationwide.

The 10,000th truck is a 2015 model 268A, part of Hino’s class 6 and 7 conventional truck line up. Hino says the model is well suited for the lease and rental market segment – of which Hino has 10 percent of the market. The 10,000th truck will be part of Penske’s rental fleet.

Penske Truck Leasing operates more than 200,000 vehicles and serves customers from more than 1,000 locations in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

“This major milestone began in 2004 when PTL received its first Hino 268 truck. We are proud of our longstanding partnership with PTL and the delivery of our 10,000th Hino truck,” said Yoshinori Noguchi, president and CEO for Hino Trucks.
