Roadway Express to begin Ambassador service at Mexico border

AKRON, Ohio (April 5) — Roadway Express Inc. will extend its Ambassador Service to shippers moving freight to and from Mexico starting today.

Roadway “ambassadors” are bilingual customer service agents who will help ensure that international shipments are processed smoothly through U.S. and Mexican customs, and will alert customers at the first sign of any delay. Once a shipment crosses the border, the Border Ambassadors will continue to track it to its destination.

“Our customers have told us that they lose control of their freight while it moves through the border clearance process,” said Ken Olsen, Roadway’s vice president of marketing. “Border Ambassadors significantly improve our customers’ ability to manage their cross-border shipments.”
