MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – PeopleNet, a provider of onboard computing and mobile communications systems, has announced that Robert Heath Trucking, Inc., a provider of refrigerated transportation services, has installed PeopleNet’s tracking and mobile communications system throughout its fleet of 150 power units.

“We are pleased that a premier refrigerated transporter with a well-deserved reputation for dealing with some of the best shippers in the business trusts their service with PeopleNet,” said Ron Konezny, COO, PeopleNet. “The suite of leading edge applications has helped them to enhance their efficiency and we have worked closely with them to ensure we continue to deliver optimal functionality and return on investment.”

Heath turned to PeopleNet after its previous provider discontinued service and support on their equipment. “We were looking for improved accuracy in transmitting and receiving messages to and from our drivers,” said the company’s president, Jody Heath. “We needed a system that was fully compatible with the TMW power suite that we use for dispatch and we need the messages to get through to our drivers in a reliable and timely fashion.”

“PeopleNet not only met but exceeded our needs,” he added. “In fact, we actually increased the speed of our messaging which is exceedingly important in terms of the remote areas that we operate in our service area.”
