Ryder closes Pollock NationaLease deal

STRATHROY, Ont. — Ryder System has completed the previously-announced acquisition of Canada-based Pollock NationaLease.

The acquisition will increase Ryder’s annual revenue by about $43 million, of which about 55 percent is related to commercial truck leasing and rental business. The rest will boost the company’s transportation-based logistics unit.

Ryder purchased Pollock’s fleet of about 2,000 vehicles, six service locations, and nearly 200 contractual customers in the Sarnia, Windsor, London, Baden, and Milton, Ont. regions, as well as the Moncton, N.B.

Ryder will consolidate four of overlapping locations in order to increase its capacity.
