Shell exec to plan harmonious future
HOUSTON, Tex. — Shell International Petroleum’s David Pirret has been charged with the daunting task of integrating U.S. operations with newly acquired Pennzoil-Quaker State.
Currently the company’s executive vice-president of global businesses, Pirret has been handed the title of vice-president lubricants of Shell Oil Products U.S., effective June 1.
In this new position, Pirret will lead Shell’s team in the planning process to combine the two lubricant giants once Pennzoil-Quaker State shareholder, regulatory and other approvals have been satisfied.
Completion of the transaction is anticipated in the second half of this year. Pirret also will lead the new business once the deal is approved and completed, including the transition to a global structure.
