BURLINGTON — Now, a free bag-o-chips or a nice warm soup is a pleasant addition to any day on the road, but when Shell Rotella launched their “My Miles Matter” program south of the border, word spread and Canadian drivers were wondering “What about us?”

Well, as Canadians, we are natural pacifists, but we sure want our free soups. So, Shell Canada responded. Drivers and equipment operators can now earn Reward Miles through Shell Lubricants’ “My Miles Matter” program upon purchase of select Shell Rotella products and services.

To begin earning reward miles, participants must first register on to the “My Miles Matter” website and enter their 12-digit code found under the cap of specially-marked bottles of Shell Rotella T Triple Protection, T5 synthetic blend or T6 full synthetic.

Now, every rolling mile can be redeemed for rewards from retailers, restaurants and recreation facilities such as Burger King, Subway and Bass Pro Shops.

Canadian members of My Miles Matter can also access online content, special offers and invitations to members-only events at key industry tradeshows throughout the year, with select sweepstakes programs and community news designed only for Canadian members.

Operators can also retrieve reward miles by using sales receipt from the purchase of a Shell Rotella motor oil change at participating locations.

The program became popular with the trucking community after Shell received several consumer inquiries about when it would be available in Canada.

According to Shell, early consumer registrations and code entry points to a positive demand of the program, expecting it to increase as consumers become more aware.
