SmartDrive Systems welcomes Mike Baker and Marty Fletcher to their management team

San Diego, California – SmartDrive Systems, announced that Michael “Mike” Baker and Marty Fletcher have joined the SmartDrive Systems management team.

Baker, who has been brought on as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales, brings 20 years experience in the technology, trucking and construction industry.

Baker’s main focus will centre on developing customer a customer acquisition and retention strategies, building and motivating high performance teams, and creating a global go-to-market sales organization.

“Fleets today are under significant pressure to improve safety while keeping costs under control,” said Baker.  “The SmartDrive platform is a game-changer and one of the more exciting and effective programs I have seen in over twenty years in the industry. Their innovative approach combining video and vehicle data with an easy-to-implement coaching program drives results.  And because the program is based on an open platform, customers know their investment is protected.  It is a winning combination and I am proud to join the team.”

Fletcher will be on board at SmartDrive Systems as a Strategic Program Manager.

SmartDrive Systems CEO Steve Mitgang welcomed Fletcher to the company.

Fletcher brings over 40 years of engineering experience in the automotive and trucking industries and as a fuel efficiency specialist, specifically in the combination of vehicle systems, drivetrain and aerodynamics.

“It has been a long time since I’ve seen a product that delivers such immediate and measurable results on fleet safety, helping reduce collisions and therefore save lives,” stated Fletcher. “I am enthusiastic about the future of this company, and more importantly, its effect on the safety of our drivers and roads.”
