San Diego, California – SmartDrive Systems, announced that Michael “Mike” Baker and Marty Fletcher have joined the SmartDrive Systems management team.

Baker, who has been brought on as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales, brings 20 years experience in the technology, trucking and construction industry.

Baker’s main focus will centre on developing customer a customer acquisition and retention strategies, building and motivating high performance teams, and creating a global go-to-market sales organization.

“Fleets today are under significant pressure to improve safety while keeping costs under control,” said Baker.  “The SmartDrive platform is a game-changer and one of the more exciting and effective programs I have seen in over twenty years in the industry. Fletcher will be on board at SmartDrive Systems as a Strategic Program Manager.

Fletcher brings over 40 years of engineering experience in the automotive and trucking industries and as a fuel efficiency specialist, specifically in the combination of vehicle systems, drivetrain and aerodynamics.
