Titan ‘Super Quad’ for Ontario and Quebec

Equipped with four air-ride equalizing axles, including one steerable, a new trailer by Titan Trailers is the first 53-foot quad permitted to run in both Ontario and Quebec with a total truck and trailer GVW of 131,000 pounds. Developed to comply with harmonized size and weight rule introduced in Ontario and Quebec, Titan’s Super Quad trailer was put into test service in northern Ontario a year ago to haul wood chips and forestry products. The trailer increases volume, accommodating 24,000 pounds more GVW than other 53-foot tridems used today, Titan says. The trailer is all aluminum and fully welded, virtually eliminating rivets or bolt fasteners.
