TMC’s technical users conference to take place Nov. 17, 18

TORONTO, Ont — The third annual Technical Users Conference, organized by the Technology & Maintenance Council and Ontario Trucking Association (OTA), will be held concurrently with the OTA’s annual convention (Toronto Congress Centre, Nov. 17 and 18).

Seminars on Nov. 17 include “Post 2002 Diesels: A 300,000 Mile Assessment”, “Maximizing the Value of Electronic Engine Data”, “Ontario’s New Requirements for Enhanced Trailer Brake Systems” and “Advanced Safety Technologies on the Horizon.”

The day’s events will be rounded out with the Volvo Luncheon Nov. 17, hosted by Anaheim Mighty Ducks GM and Executive VP Brian Burke; and that evening the Chairman’s Reception and Buffet Dinner and the Comedy Festival featuring Russell Peters, Glen Foster and Derek Edwards.

Seminars on Nov. 18 include “Spec’ing, Testing & Operating for Maximum Fuel Economy” and “Maximizing Tire Life Through Total Vehicle Alignment.” Delegates will also have the opportunity to tour Challenger Motor Freight’s new state of the art facility in Cambridge, Ont. that afternoon.

The day’s will also feature the Freightliner Luncheon, hosted by Mike Lipkin; and later that evening the convention’s grande finale — OTA’s gala reception and dinner, headlined by Juno Award winner Jann Arden.
