The FleetSmart program at Natural Resources Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency introduced “SmartDriver for Forestry Trucks,” a training program for logging truck operators. The CD-ROM-based self-study program focuses on reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
The International Tire & Rubber Association Foundation now offers a 13-video training series for tire retreaders and repair personnel that looks at topics ranging from basic tire construction to step-by-step nail hole and tube repairs. The videos will soon include corresponding workbooks and certification testing.
Truck-Lite’s new 36-page “Lifetime Lighting” catalog features more than 400 LED products and connectors and over 100 mounting accessories. New to this edition is a section on connectors, with 50 sockets and plugs that retrofit to almost any electrical source.
