Transport Canada and CTRF Needs Truckers for Roundtable

TORONTO — The Canadian Transportation Research Forum (CRTF) and Transport Canada are hosting a roundtable on freight transportation on January 30th at Hart House in Toronto and have requested the participation of the trucking industry.

The event, says CTRF, will provide an opportunity for members of the industry to share priorities and identify the current state of knowledge, best practices and research gaps.

The theme for the roundtable is urban freight transportation, and was chosen as a particularly urgent topic as congestion in Canada’s largest cities threatens the efficient movement of goods and results in increased costs for both shippers and carriers.

Roundtable organizers are encouraging participation by members, as outcomes will have implications for the industry.
