Trucking associations kick off National Trucker Appreciation Week

TORONTO (May 31) — The Canadian Trucking Alliance, the country¹s national for-hire trucking group, hopes to raise the public profile of the industry as it celebrates National Trucker Appreciation Week from today through June 6.

The event, to be held annually, is designed to recognize the 400,000 Canadian men and women working in the trucking industry, and to highlight their safety and professionalism.

Provincial trucking associations, carriers, and suppliers from coast-to-coast are being encouraged to undertake activities in their own province to mark the event. The CTA lists ideas and resources at its Web site.
