OTTAWA, Ont. —  Trucking HR Canada revealed today that Stephania Varalli, the co-owner and co-CEO of the Women of Influence organization, will open the third annual Women with Drive Leadership Summit on March 2, 2017, at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre.

The Women of Influence organization is dedicated to women’s advancement in the workplace. The group offers a variety of solutions including leadership development, mentorship, and networking events. Its renowned events include the Deloitte Women of Influence Luncheon Series and the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards.

Varalli, who had her beginnings at a Toronto-based e-mail newsletter, Sweetspot, was that company’s first employee and a minority owner; she was integral in the growth and development that followed. Sweetspot.ca became Canada’s leading lifestyle site for women aged 25-52.  After the sale of Sweetspot.ca to Rogers Communications, Stephania chose to pursue a freelancing career, splitting her time between copywriting, digital strategy, and a managing editor positon at Adventura, an adventure sports and travel magazine. Taking the concept of remote office to a new level, over six years she settled into more than ten countries, and worked with a broad list of clients, including industry leaders in the technology, communications, consumer goods, financial, and manufacturing sectors.

“Stephania brings a modern approach as a new co-CEO of an established organization focused on supporting women in the workplace,” said Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada.  “Her personal experience will inspire attendees, and the work of her organization will impress and empower those looking for insights on women’s leadership and advancement.”

Early bird registration is now open.
