Volvo says Winnipeg dealer best in Canada

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Fitting that a dealership named after Canada’s national animal would be Volvo Trucks’ choice for Canada Dealer of the Year.

Beaver Truck Centre of Winnipeg won the award. Barry Searcy is the dealer principal. The dealership has 14 service bays and more than 70 employees, and has won numerous awards from Volvo over the years for sales and service.

M & K Quality Truck Sales of Byron Center, Mich., was named the U.S. Dealer of the Year.

Selection criteria for the annual awards include outstanding performance in new truck and parts sales, Volvo engines, customer satisfaction index, and investment in facilities.

"Our dealers are on the front lines every day, making sure our customers have the trucks, parts and service they need to drive success," said Per Carlsson, president and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America. "It is a pleasure to recognize the outstanding work of our top-performing dealers and the example they set for customer support."
