Will You Be Among Canada’s Top Fleets to Work for in 2015?

OTTAWA, ON – Trucking HR Canada is now accepting applications for the 2nd-annual Top Fleet Employers program, recognizing fleets with the best workplaces in Canada’s trucking industry.

Online submissions are due at www.truckingHR.com by Feb. 27, 2015, with hard copy submissions due March 27.  Fleets that have previously applied will benefit from a streamlined hard copy submission process.

“Top Fleet Employers recognizes fleets that are committed to, and demonstrate, best practices in human resources,” says Angela Splinter, Chief Executive Officer of Trucking HR Canada. “They are workplaces which lead by example, and play a key role in helping the trucking industry recruit and retain the employees it needs to ensure a successful future.”

Unlike the Best Fleet to Drive For survey and contest, Top Fleet Employers is open not only to for-hire fleets, but also to private fleets. Another difference is that while the Best Fleet to Drive For survey and contest is open for all for-hire trucking companies with over 10 trucks in Canada and the U.S., Top Fleet Employers is only open to Canadian fleets and they do not have a specification on the minimum number of trucks a fleet must have to apply.

Trucking HR Canada rates fleets on employee recognition, compensation, lifestyle, employee engagement, wellness, professional development, recruitment and retention. The review process includes an online application, followed by a hard-copy submission, employee surveys and follow-up interviews.

Recognized employers in the 2014 program are: Bison Transport, Erb Group of Companies, Home Hardware, J&R Hall Transport Inc., Kindersley Transport, Kriska Transportation, Logikor Inc., MacKinnon Transport Inc., SLH Transport, and Transport Freight Systems Ltd.
