TRANSPORT CANADA LAUNCHES MONTREAL ROAD WORK PLAN
MONTREAL, Que. — Transport Canada will soon be holding meetings to discuss the building of two new bridges and 14km of highway in the Montreal area.
The construction would include extending Route 30 south of Montreal.
“Public-private partnerships represent an excellent way to get more value for taxpayers’ dollars,” says David Collenette, the transport minister.
The completion of Route 30 and the two bridges, which would ease traffic congestion in the Montreal area, is a priority for the Quebec government.
