Join us and celebrate the 2020 Top Fleet Employers

Trucking HR Canada’s Top Fleet Employer program was launched seven years ago to recognize truck fleets for their exceptional human resources (HR) practices and consistent commitment in this regard.

We are always careful to say that the program is not a competition. It’s about showcasing great workplaces, fostering a community among the industry’s HR professionals, and sharing best practices for hiring, training, long-term employee satisfaction, and more.

It’s about supporting businesses that promote a positive image of the trucking and logistics industry and make it a great place to work.

To be considered as a Trucking HR Canada Top Fleet Employer, trucking and logistics companies undergo a rigorous application process. Each year the program continues to grow, and we receive more applicants. Last year we had 69 for-hire fleets, fleet services, and private carriers ranging in size from 20 to 2,000 employees and covering every region from Kelowna to Moncton.

As the program has grown, we now recognize fleets that have been in it for five years or more as Top Fleet Employers of Distinction. Last year, this list grew to 15. This year, we are proud to welcome 14 more.

And, as more and more fleets improve their HR approaches and offerings, we introduced our Achievements of Excellence award in seven categories: workplace culture, training and skills development, workplace mental health, women in the workplace, workplace diversity, employee engagement, and HR Innovator.

With so much to celebrate, we’re proud and excited to host our first ever virtual Top Fleet Employers Awards Gala on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 5:30 p.m. EST.

Every year, this gala is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate our Top Fleet Employers for their commitment to keeping their employees safe and healthy.

This year, we’ll highlight and celebrate their leadership and commitment to keeping all Canadians safe and healthy.

Please join us on Oct. 15 as we toast all our Top Fleets, present the award for Top Fleet in each category as well as announce which carriers will receive our Achievements of Excellence.

And of course, you won’t want to miss the presentation of our 2020 HR Leader of the Year award.

There has never been a more challenging year for HR professionals in trucking and logistics. Even though we can’t be there in person, we can still celebrate these incredible accomplishments together.

I look forward to celebrating with you all virtually on October 15.

Cheers!
