MONCTON, N.B. — Armour Transportation Systems has completed the purchase of Newfoundland-based Way’s Transport, according to the Canadian Press.

Wesley Armour, president and CEO of Armour Transportation, says Way’s Transport will become a division of Armour, but it will keep its original name.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Way’s fleet, based in Corner Brook and St. Anthony, includes more than 150 pieces of equipment.

Armour, based in Moncton, says the new division employs 50 people and will continue to be run by Marvin Way, son of company founder Clyde Way.

Armour Transportation Systems currently operates about 4,000 pieces of equipment.
